Crafting and cutting

A few years back I bough a cricut cutter to cut vinyl and scrapbook paper.
{I do not scrapbook}.
3 years later I never use it because we have a professional cutter at work,
that is easier to maneuver.

These are some of the cutters on the market, the retail price and the specs:
This may be helpful to any crafters out there!

  • Cricut Expressions Machine - the one I have.  About $250 retail ( I bough a package online.) The idea is to buy themed cartridges to cut different fonts and designs.  There is a program called SurCutsALot that basically Hacks that idea and lets you almost anything. But since a lawsuit it works with all the other cutter but this ones now.

  • Silhouette Cameo - Retail $300. The Silhouette is an electronic cutting tool for personal use. It connects to your computer just like a printer, but instead of printing designs it cuts them with a small blade. With the machine connected to your computer, you'll get access to all of the fonts on your PC plus the thousands of cuttable designs found on the Silhouette Online Store.

  • BossKut Gazelle - Retail $529 The Gazelle will cut 12" media. It's software is easy to use and designed especially for the scrapbooker with the features that all the crafters want.  500 g of pressure. Cuts cardstock, glitter paper, chipboard, balsa wood, foam, Grafix plastic

  • USCutter - starting at $179. These machines are a lot like the ones I use at work.
    Mainly for vinyl only.
Includes USB and works with Flexi and other popular software through standard Roland PNC1000 drivers. Includes a 1 year license for SignCut Productivity Pro, a versatile cutting software .
