29 Weeks

How Far Along? 29 weeks
Size of baby? Acom Squash
Sleep? not good...but not because of the baby...self inflicted by over doing it thesed days
Food Cravings? not much too busy to overthink food these days
What I Miss? not working on the house.. I kid but seriously I have not relaxed in 10 days. I have not read a book, watched tv, napped, anything.
Symptoms? this week had been pretty awesome... he is moving a lot and when I finally lay down at midnight, with my heating pad on my back I stay awake for about an hour taking in his little movements, kicks, and etc. I love trying to guess what each body part is and I am trying for those few minutes to appreciate this process before it flies by and he is a teenager one day!
Belly Button? in but getting tight
Best Moment of the Week? This week the HARDWOOD got installsed! woo hoo!! Over the weeekend we moved all the furniture and then pulled the carpet, pad, nails, and tack strips out of the 3  bedrooms and then painted the basefloor with kilz. Once we were done it was amazing and exhausting!

Monday the guys came to install the wood. By end of day 2 rooms were done! So of course I went OVERBOARD Monday night. Painted all the trim in our master bedroom, moved the furniture and deepcleaned each piece that was put back.

Needless to say we are in full swing preparing for Mr. Avery's arrival!

I will post all about that project later!

28 weeks

How Far Along? 28 weeks
Size of baby?  Eggplant
Gender?  BOY oh Boy
Sleep? This week it was decent - no complaints.
Food Cravings?  nothing I can remember.
What I Miss?  Not having constant pressure on my mid section :)
Symptoms? This week my active child came back! Boy did he decide that he needed to show me how strong and busy he is. The kicking is starting to feel like I have a bruise on my right side and when he does his complete flips it feels like my organs are being pinched. But on the bright side it is nice he is saying hi. Not that I got worried when he was less active the past few weeks but it was a strange change of pace. He better enjoy the room while he has it because it is running out!
Belly Button?  IN!!
Best Moment of the Week?
This past weekend was our first baby shower. It was a co-gender shower at 7pm Saturday night. It was casual and relaxed and PERFECT! My SIL and BIL hosted at their house. After it was over I think this wee one has more clothes than us!! And I do not know where we will store all these blankets - lol.  We got some of the exciting BIG items on the registry which always is relief :) - the car seat, pack and play, swing, and play gym!

On Sunday while boys were watching football my MIL and I went shopping and I found about 15 pairs of pants to match the 101 tops he got. I got them from Kohls, Old Navy and TJMaxx on clearence and they were $1 -2 each! I call that a WIN!

12 MORE WEEKS (or less :) to go!!

Monday Off - To Do List.

This weekend we had our first baby shower, which I will do a post on later. We left Saturday and came home Sunday, so if this was a normal weekend it would have FLEW by. But thank god for MLK - and getting the day off of work!! I started the day by meeting my cousin Tara and going to her house to get a brief reminder of how to use my sewing machine and she also helped me sew 2 of the baby blankets I wanted to make Avery. After the shower - blankets were the last think we needed (I think we got 5 handmade blankets :).  I had already bought the fabric and since we are removing the remaining carpet our house has in a week, these blankets were meant to be for playtime comfort for Avery and easily washable (as well my first sew projects and not the best made).

Here are some pictures of the the sewing project. When I got home I had 1 more blanket to do. While doing the blanket, I scanned 100+ photos as well. I got through one photo album that had over 300 pictures in it! One more to do and then I can hopefully get back to working on my family's photos and finishing those before Avery arrives (only a few thousand left!!).
Fabric laid out (inside out)
Fabric laid out (inside out)
Pinned the fabric all the way around
Sew all the way around then trim off excess fabric

Flip blanket inside out.
add another row of stitching to have a border.

The other 2 blankets I made.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the evening!

Keeping at it...

Here are some happenings of the day! I got flowers at work from Ms. Monica (they were suppose to come Saturday but the florist was a little forgetful) but I don't care when I got them it was really really sweet of her to send them to me, for the anniversary of my dad's death. She was a huge part of that night for me and I could not image if I was at the hospital without her!

After I got home from work I went back downstairs (with the help of Wes) and scanned like a mad women...another hundred photos. I upped the resolution they are scanning at and it taking a little longer than it was, but I hope to do this once so I better do it right. Here are a few more of my favorites from tonight.

Always been one of my favorite pictures!

Avery: Extra Extra

Here are some of the ridiculously cute items Avery has so far!

I ordered some stickers that sort of match Avery's room.

27 Weeks

How Far Along? 27 weeks
Size of baby? Rutabaga ...WTH???
Maternity Clothes? I got a few more basics so I do not feel like I have nothing to wear but I am still wearing my regular cardigans and shirts besides a few
Weight Gain? more than I would have hoped but considering my chest is HUGE, the baby bump is definitely there ....the weight is no choice
Stretch Marks?  NOPE!! :) for now...lets hope for good
Gender? my precious baby boy
Sleep? same old same old
Food Cravings? I have been really good lately and even have people comment at work how I eat too well for a prego and should let myself go.... well I figure the more I let go the more I have to work to get back and the better I eat the better Avery eats.  That is not to say that my snacks at work don't have a few dark covered almonds or my dinner can't have a side of frozen yogurt :) So we have been making our lunches on Sundays for the week and for the most part my meals go to plan. For breakfast it is either cereal or toast with nutella and a grapefruit. If I could wake up earlier I would have eggs like Wes does. Snacks throughout the day - yogurt with granola and berries, apples with peanut butter, raw almonds with 6 dark chocolate covered almonds, clementines, celery and carrots, banana -  mix and match and have 2 -3 of these a day. Then for lunch I have been very stuck on my salads lately with are either with spinach or spring mix, strawberries, and chicken with a poppyseed dressing - this is heavenly!!! When and if I am turned off by the repetition I get a turkey burger from the cafe at work or bring tuna in.
What I Miss? not much. Really can't wait to meet him these days!
Symptoms? Never ever going to the bathroom, if you know what I mean. Seriously...this is getting painful and ridiculous.
Belly Button? IN!
Best Moment of the Week?
We have our first shower next weekend and some of the items were shipped to us this week. Crazy to see our house starting to be filled with baby items. We also got in the mail some maternity clothes, baby room decor, etc. We moved it all downstairs to the unfinished space as we prepare to start the hardwood floors in the 3 bedrooms and the stairs. This past week we got 10 bids and are in the process of comparing them and choosing the "winner." The floors will take a week (monday through friday) to complete so the weekend before and after will be moving the stuff in and out of the rooms. We will live in the basement guest bedroom during this time. Wes and Brian will move what Wes and I cannot do and they will install Avery's new closet system. Then Wes and I will repaint all the trim and doors and we are ready for the furniture to be delivered :)!!!

Back to the To Do List - Wes' Baby Book

Since Christmas I have been lazy and tired after work and I have given in and laid in bed and read, played on the internet, watched TV, etc. But now the clock is ticking and Mr. Avery will be here sooner than later and I have few projects to finish up.... for one scanning photos.

I asked Wes to watch his TV, Movies or play his video games downstairs so I will work in my office and multitask getting things done! Night one has been a huge success. So far I have scanned over 100 photos of Wes as a baby { which we will use for showers, baby book comparisons, etc as well as was on my to do list.} Once I finish scanning my family photos I plan on scanning all of his family for his mom as well.  Why won't I just come down here and do it by myself....well its sort of lonely, cold, and all the dogs want to sit on my lap.

This week I need to finish his baby book so I can return them when we go back to Canton Saturday for my first baby shower!

The nice thing about my scanner is it scans multiple pictures at once and takes a few minutes. This leaves me time to read or browse the internet in between setting up the scanner.

Here were a few of my favorite scan of little baby Wes of the evening...this is the kid I hope I recreate...I've been in love with baby Wes since I first saw him :)
